Single Ovens ...
Single Ovens are the mainstay of built in cookers, and more of them are sold than all other types put together.
They are normally built under a worktop, but it is becoming increasingly popular to build them "up" into a tall housing together with a separate microwave, or compact steam oven.

As with all built in appliances there is no point paying for features you don't need, your Fish Fingers will taste the same coming out of an oven that costs £450 or one costing £1500.
These are the minimum requirements for in a built in single oven:
- Double (or Triple) Glazed oven door
- Fan Operation (not fan assisted)
- Catalytic Liners
- Dual Zone Grill
