The other factors to consider are services such as kitchen fitter availibilty, and whether you intend buying a specialist worktop such as Granite or Corian.
The average UK waiting times are as follows:
a). Kitchen Design & Planning - allow 2 weeks
b). Kitchen Furniture Delivery - allow 4-8 weeks
c). Kitchen Appliance Delivery - Allow 2-3 weeks
d). Kitchen Fitter Availability - Allow 6-8 weeks
e). Kitchen Installation - 2 weeks (Laminate worktops)
f). Specialist Worktop - Add extra week
g). Kitchen Finance - Allow 2 weeks to receive funds
From when you start looking, until the kitchen is finished allow ... 3 months
