Independent Kitchen Design or Free Kitchen Design

Independent Kitchen Design

After having your first design and quotation you are likely to book a few more, so that you can compare costs.

Unfortunately, this has the effect of "muddying the waters" ...

The 2nd kitchen salesman will try to change the design of the 1st kitchen salesmen because ...

  • He wants to appear to be a better kitchen designer
  •
  • He wants to install doubt in your mind about your previous design
  •
  • He wants to make it impossible to compare his quote (just on price)
  •
  • He may not sell the style and type of cabinets designed by the first salesmen
  •
  • He is very likely to sell different appliances and worktops
  •
  • His fitting services may offer more or less than your first quotation

His quotation (with a silly discount) will not be based upon the previous design (and therefore cannot be compared to the first) and will be time limited ... to try and force you to buy his design before you get any other quotes.

Your 3rd, 4th, and any further free kitchen design will follow a similar pattern, with each kitchen salesman trying to "out-do" each other, leaving you with a whole heap of conflicting information ... that you have to make a decision about. (somehow)

Is this in your best interest? ... Or are they just trying to persuade you to buy something (anything) they supply?

In summary ... free kitchen designs are offered by kitchen retailers for the sole purpose of selling their products, and the designs they produce are heavily biased towards their own goods and services (and profit).
