Kitchen Worktops ...

The choice of kitchen worktops has increased substantially over the years, and is one of the ways of stamping YOU on your new kitchen layout.

Laminate Kitchen Worktops ... Relatively cheap to buy and easy to fit most laminate worktops are sold in thickness's of 30mm or 40mm, lengths up to 4.1m and widths of 600, 660, and 900mm.
Normally available in either Matt (slightly textured finish) or Gloss (smooth and shiny finish), and in a wide range of colours and patterns.

Solid Wood Kitchen Worktops ... Regarded as a "high maintenance" worktop, solid wood can look stunning when properly maintained.

Granite Kitchen Worktops ... Visually stunning, Granite worktops would be most peoples choice if funds allowed.
Extremely hard, but also extremely brittle, Granite Worktops are normally supplied in blanks that are butt jointed on site.
These worktops are an investment, that properly cared for, will last the lifetime of your kitchen ... but be aware of the pitfalls in purchasing.

Quartz Kitchen Worktops ... As visually appealing as Granite these worktops are man made and do not suffer from the same problems that can be experienced with Granite.
Quartz Worktops are available in a wide range of colours, are often slightly cheaper than Granite worktops, and are rapidly becoming the worktop of choice for discerning kitchen buyers.

Corian (and similar) Kitchen Worktops ... A fabulous worktop (made by Dupont) famed for its "seamless" jointing attributes.
Corian worktops are perfect for situations where "odd shaped worktops" are designed into your kitchen and where hygiene is important.
There are a number of "cheaper" imitations than Corian available - but as in all walks of life ... you only get what you pay for!

Glass Kitchen Worktops ... Relatively unknown in the UK, Glass Worktops offer a similar look to Granite - but the colour choice is immense.
There are limitations as to what can be achieved with Glass Worktops but if you are looking for a bit of a "wow factor" that is unlikely to be replicated by the "Jones's" next door gives Glass Worktops a look.

Concrete Kitchen Worktops ... The new kid on the block, and yet to get any great publicity, Concrete Worktops provide a seamless look in a variety of colours.
Not normally pored in-situ we do not recommend DIY attempts to mix up a bag of "postcrete" and smear it all over your base cabinets.
However an interesting development in worktops - that offers the opportunity of having a matching patio!

We have deliberately left out Stainless Steel Worktops as believe these to be a little utilitarian for residential kitchens ... however if you want to know a local stockist drop us a line ... here
